The last phase of the Space Approaches workshop aimed to understand space from the mapping of the concern that arose at the beginning of the activity. A new performance was carried out for the material collection of ephemeral, transitory colors, which make up this site, as well as the fixed elements (buildings, sidewalks, vegetation). The recognition of these objects as an integral part of everyday life at Av. da República helped in understanding the local character: transitory, urban, fleeting. What is now may not be tomorrow, but its momentary presence directs and defines our perception.

From here it was understood that the restlessness of strangeness is very much related to chromatic issues, as colors convey feelings and messages that influence our lives, from the social/economic to the political/ideological aspect. The mapping of the avenue looked at fixed and transitory elements in the search for messages that help define the identity of the space. Regardless of the tone, whether faded or vibrant, weathered by time or preserved by the determination to keep it new, the collection of colors resulted in a model/catalogue that spatially exposes the chromatic identity of the avenue. The model demands a performative exercise for its assembly, and this brings us closer to the understanding intended here: perceiving a space from the use of the visual and tactile senses.
